Willow Chicago has a vision to powerfully impact the city of Chicago. We endeavor to do that by being a community of people who live out the love of Christ with all that we have within us. Part of living in community is being able to serve one another with our own unique gifts and talents. The Willow Chicago Creative Arts Community is a community of artists who bring together their skills and talents to create transformational moments in the lives of others. Our community consists of actors, writers, instrumentalists, vocalists, directors, photographers, illustrators, designers, technicians and more! Now is the time to get involved! There are various opportunities for you to share your gifts so we’re hosting an Arts Reception on Sunday, August 30, 2009. Stop by the church office immediately following service to connect with the various existing arts ministries we have at Willow Chicago or to get in on the ground floor of new opportunities that are forming. It’ll be a relaxed environment where you can visit several ministries and talk one on one with a ministry leader about what you enjoy. Bring your portfolio, resume, or other examples of your work or experince if you have them! Lastly, If you’re ready to get involved you’ll be able to sign up for a next step that day as well (so bring your calendar too!) We know Sundays are busy days so you should be able to come by and get any information you need and be on your way home in 30 minutes or less.

FAQ's about the Arts Reception:
Is this an audition? - No, the Arts Reception is simply a time to casually meet the leaders of current Willow Chicago arts ministries as well as other creative artists from our community and congregation. Each ministry will have next step opportunities for you to sign-up for if interested - this includes auditions. We're looking to host Auditions mid-September.
What should I bring? - Bring yourself: we want to meet you! It's also show-and-tell (remember that from school?) so bring portfolios, photos, recordings, web site links, etc... to share your work with us or other artists that you meet. Bringing things is optional but it's always great to be able to show what you love to do.
Can I bring a friend/spouse/non-Willow Chicago attender? - yes, bringing others is fine. They don't need to register unless they are interested in being contacted about the arts at Willow Chicago.
This event organizer is using Eventbrite to provide event ticketing and online event registration.
